Adding Your Mark To YouTube Videos Brand Yourself Online
If you want to brand yourself online then one way is to add a watermark or logo to your YouTube videos before you upload them. It "speaks" to your audience in very subtle yet effective terms. One way to do this is to use Microsoft Windows Movie Maker which comes with most versions of Windows. If you don't have it you can download it HERE.
Another way is with YouTube annotations or advertising if you have right account and the budget. You can do a lot of work with the YouTube video editor and sort of brand yourself online using YouTube videos. Annotations can be effective but for a more professional look you'll need a program that works with images at least.
This video shows how you can brand yourself using Windows Movie Maker but has our logo added using the other method outlined below the video.
You probably do not have the Flash Player (Get Adobe Flash Player Here) installed for your browser or the video files are misplaced on your server!
Other Reasons You Might Want To Brand Your Videos
Add a Watermark or Logo To Prevent Unauthorised Use
Have you ever found one of your videos in use elsewhere and with somebody else's logo on it? Believe me this does happen. You want to protect your videos or you would'nt be readfing this. What should you do? I know you just watched a video on how to add a watermark to YouTube videos and those methods are fine. But the simplest way I've found to watermark a YouTube video, (your signature, logo, brand name, animated image, etc) is with this neat and inexpensive program called Video Watermark Pro.
How To Brand YouTube Videos Using Video Watermark Pro
You will need three things:
1) The Video clip of course
2) The software – Video Watermark Pro – allows you to embed text, image, logo, sign (include animated) to your video in batch mode. Video Watermark is simple, easy to use and has a user friendly interface. It has high speed processing, so it is very fast.
Download Site: http://www.video-watermark.com/products/watermark-setup-pro.exe – note: I have no affiliate links with this program nor the company.
3) An Image watermark or company logo
Step 1 – Launch Video Watermark Pro and load your FLV files.
Step 2 – There are three modes of use which are text, image and shape watermark. You will find support on their website for more on these.
Click the "Add Image" button and the Browse button 2 to select an image from the programs default collection or you can add user defined images (your logo) by adding your own images to the "user" folder in the programs Example directory.
Click 'Add' button 1 to create first watermark layer. You can see the image preview in the preview window, Click and drag the image to the desired position.
Tip: If you want to create multiple layered logo images, just click 'Add' again. You can see the website for tutorials on using effects overlays or get creative yourself.
Here are some of the many effects available for a layered mix.
There are images that come with the program. You could use some of them to add a watermark to youtube videos by adding text as well. You can add new images for each category from your hard disc to the folder mentioned earlier.
Use resize, opacity setting, rotate, etc.
If you don't want to have your logo or watermark show at all times or create animated effects , such as 1-3 minutes show watermark 1, 3-4 minutes show watermark 2, 4-8 minutes get some watermark animation, etc… use the timeline 4 for editing.
Add a start/end point for current time
Remove selection point
Move the pointer to previous and next point
Example: Click 'Add Key' to create a point in your desired section of the timeline, drag the pointer to as little as tenths of a second. At any point you can apply effects such as adjust Opacity from 100 to 0, then play the video, you can see the watermark will gradually disappear.
Click HERE to see full video sample.
After you finished settings, click the OK 5 button save changes and return to main interface.
Click 'Run' button, adjust output settings, choose an output folder, video format, video and audio settings. Click 'Run' to start watermarking process.
Tip: Select FLV format for output
With it's high speed output it's only matter of what seems moments before your movie is ready. The output folder will open automatically for you to play your masterpiece. Now you can create your own video on "How To Add A Watermark To YouTube Videos" and brand it with your own logo or watermark.
Video Watermark Pro has a great deal going right now and again I may recommend this but I have no affiliation with the company. I just borrowed all these image from their site. I'm sure they won't mind. If you do decide to use it you will have peace of mind.
