Once again this year, Team Brainshark hit the trail for our 3rd consecutive Reach the Beach relay in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. Together we traversed over 200 New Hampshire miles from Cannon Mountain to Hampton Beach in in a 24-hour relay event to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s research.
Our 12-runner team posted a final time of 27 hours, 50 minutes to complete the 205 mile relay, averaging an 8:08 minute per mile pace, and finishing 95th out of 474 teams.
Thanks to the support and generosity of our friends, family and colleagues, we were able to raise over $7,600 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Combined with our fundraising efforts from the past two Reach the Beach relays, we’ve now totaled $20,000 for Alzheimer’s research. We thank the Alzheimer’s Association for the opportunity to run for such an important cause, and would also like to thank all of our supporters for their contributions, as well as the Reach the Beach committee for organizing another successful event.
